About Dental Associates

Dr. Hootnick joined Dental Associates in 1981. He received his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1979 and completed his residency at Park City Hospital in Bridgeport, CT. Dr. Hootnick has been practicing restorative dentistry for over 30 years and offers his patients state-of-the-art techniques and services (link to Services). He is widely respected on both the South and North Shores for his quality treatment.

Dr. Le specializes in periodontics and implantology. She earned her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Montreal (Quebec) and Certification in Periodontology from the Universite Laval (Quebec). Dr. Le holds certifications in Advanced Education in General Dentistry form the Lutheran Medical Site in Boston, MA.

Dr. Le is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and a member of the American Academy of Periodontology.

In her spare time, the South shore resident enjoys cooking, baking, crafts, and playing piano with her daughter.

Dr. Jessica Latimer is a practicing periodontist in the Greater Boston Area and part-time faculty member in the Department of Oral Medicine, Infection, and Immunity at the at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Latimer earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Washington School of Dentistry, graduating in the top of her class as a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. She subsequently completed her specialty training in Periodontology and Dental Implantology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine , where she also obtained her Doctor of Medical Sciences (DMSc) in Oral Biology with Honors. Dr. Latimer is a recipient of the Harvard Division of Periodontology Fellowship, American Academy of Periodontology Clinical Impact and Clinical Science awards, and Harvard Presidential Scholarship. As a clinician-scientist, Dr. Latimer is dedicated to advancing periodontology through her work in post-graduate and pre-doctoral periodontal education, translational research, and clinical care of patients. Her expertise includes non-surgical periodontal treatment, periodontal regeneration, bone grafting, gum grafting, sinus augmentation, and dental implant surgery. Dr. Latimer is also an accomplished scientific illustrator and enjoys numerous other hobbies, including playing the violin and piano, hiking, traveling, and improving her Italian language skills.

Dr. Chang specializes in prosthodontics, treating patients with complex restorative cases. He utilizes digital technology to provide customized solutions, including full-mouth rehabilitation, All-on-X implants, fixed and removable dental prostheses, aesthetic veneers, and restoring occlusal vertical dimension for patients with severe wear. 

Dr. Chang earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Indiana University School of Dentistry and completed his advanced prosthodontics residency at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he received the Excellent Achievement in Prosthodontics award in his residency.

Dr. Tatiana Soltero grew up in El Paso, Texas where her creative upbringing and connection to her community inspired her passion for dentistry.  Dr. Soltero attended The University of Texas at El Paso and graduated Summa Cum Laude and received her Bachelor’s of Science in Biological Sciences and a minor in French.

Dr. Soltero went on to receive her DMD degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. During her time in dental school, she had an active role in the American Association of Women Dentists, advancing women empowerment in the field of dentistry. She also engaged in and supported public health and global outreach organizations. 

Outside of the office, Dr. Soltero enjoys art, cooking, hosting dinner parties, traveling, watching movies, and exploring new cafes.  Dr. Soltero brings an empathetic and warm patient-centered care approach and takes time to ensure her patients receive the highest quality dental care. 

Demetra has been a valued member of our team since she graduated from The Forsyth School for Dental Hygiene in 1981. She has many long-term patients who depend on her guidance for healthy teeth and gums.

Outside of work, Demetra enjoys spending time with her family.

Amanda joined our dental hygiene team in 2015 after graduating from Mount Ida College. Amanda is a great complement to our staff and works hard to provide a high level of care to her patients. On her free days, Amanda enjoys spending time with friends, family, her husband, and of course- her puppy Finn!

Sarah is a graduate of Northeastern University class of 2003. A dedicated clinician and registered dental hygienist, Sarah joined our team in 2021. She maintains strong relationships with her patients and loves to educate them on how to achieve a healthier smile. You can always expect to find Sarah outdoors during her time away from the office, especially at the beach. 

Justin is a 2021 graduate from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, on the Pre-Dental-Dental Hygiene Track (also a Quincy native!). He is extremely hardworking and very dedicated on his path to becoming a future hygienist in our office. In the meantime, he is gaining more knowledge and experience with other aspects of dentistry as an acting patient care coordinator. He is a great addition to our team! Justin enjoys exploring different places to eat, walking on the beach, and watching sports.
